ANGAAR DA MUHABAT (2010)

Another SHALIMAR bloody actioner tele-drama comes straight at'cha from the blood-drencht mountains of Afghanistan ! Pakistani superstar Jahangir Khan Jani , the always bloodied protector of good and virtue , delivers epic justice with his always trustworthy bloodied kalashnikof and his dancin'/singin' talents ! See how torn the sleeve of the cd-r is ? It could have drops of Jahangir's blood on it ! Imagine what this title went through , just to get to my hands , traveling all this distance , from Pakistan to Greece (Pakistan being the country from where these copies are exported to the countries where Pakistani immigrands go -- people have to enjoy themselves in other cultural communitites with their native entertainment industry productions -- check earlier entry -Nika- about the origin of the borderline "pashto" films to find out what i'm talkin' about) .
First of all , the entire movie looks like an old school '70s film ! You can ever hear a record player's grain on the background noise of the soundtrack !
An angry old dude says something to a muslim gathering . I don't get what exactly , but he seems serious enough . After the cozy meeting is over , Jahangir (or , is he ?) is seen in the back rows of a tough-guys-on-robes croud . Someone looks not pleased by the old dude's sermon and speaks his mind . As they talk , guns come out . On a corner of the shot , another old dude (a Gourdjief lookalike) , turns around (twice to make it look more appealing) and faces the armed men . Muhammad Husain Swati comes out of a balkony and has a fall out of opinions with Gourdjief . The men leave . Later that night , armed and dangerous , the people seen earlier go outside the angry old dudes house . At gun point , the old times doesn't look that pissed . After four continuous close-ups , to the men with the guns and to the old timer , (and a gibberish dialogue) bullets fly ... But not from the gunmen ! From afar , the heroic Shahid Khan comes , dissarming the villains with four shots ! And not only that , he beats them silly , using both his AK-47 and his legs ! The foot-gun way ! As he is about to shoot them , the old dude intervenes and saves his assailants !
At the bad guys' headquarters , Gourdjief and Muhammad are angry with the failure of their enforcers .... Moving on to another house , another man is seen talking to his wife and a man with a western corporate monkey suit . I think he's ritch , and the father of the vigilante ! He speaks harshly to him . I think the guy with the suit is the "good brother" . Two hot chicks are seen talking while lying on a big bed . Are they relatives of the vigilante too ? Nope . One of them meets shortly after with the whimp brother of the vigilante . Shahid meets with a chubby hot chick at some other part of the town . They flirt . She is seen coming out from her car four times . A good ol' game of crabs , lifts the spirits of the villains , but soon enough fists fly .. and bullets ... The heroic police arrives seconds after the shooting takes place ! Gourdjief and Muhammad have a talk with the Police Captain . The bad guys , along with the father of the vigilante , are the only ones in town owning a car . The two cars meet on a two way street . Gourdjief plots something against the ritch guy , but i don't know what . A thick moustached criminal steals some money from the vigilante's brother on another part of the town . A John Saxon-lookalike gets on his way . Finaly , Jahangir makes his heroic intro in the film ! After shooting the thug's hand , he points the gun at his forehead , setting him straight ! Now there're two heroes running around in the town ?! Whimp and Shahid talk back at home . Shahid seems troubled and ironic ... The police Captain talks with Jahangir . Is he an Agent ? A villain ? Who knows . He seems cocky enough though to be both ! The Captain speaks English at one point . He tells Jahangir "Do you understand ? You can go !" ! Maybe Jahangir is a foreigner ? Shahid talks with the chubby hot chick he had met earlier . She leaves him . He laughs . They meet again outside and she sings and dances like crazy for him on the street ! Now that's what i'm talking about ! Video clip lovin' ! As she sings and dance in hammer-time-mode , we see them in various locations ! Shahid poses manly with his gun , as the lady sings and dances for him , on the roof of an all-doors-open-big-jeep ! After 4:30 minutes of extreme cardio-choreography , she takes the gun from him and shoots it on the air (i wonder how many wiseguys are needed here , to make an anatomy on this scene ?) !
Shahid and Jahangir meet . Just like that , Jahangir makes a sadden "Batman" entrance , ascenting from the bottom of the screen . Shahid's father in the meantime , has some angry words with Gourdjief and Muhammad in his huge garden . Shahid performs in front of the villains he had earlier beat to a pulp . He beats them up once again ! The sound of the police cars makes run away . Jahangir is hanging out in an empty kitchen with a hot chick . They drink from a visible Black Johnny Walker bottle , plus there's a 7up bottle on the other side of the table . Good , commercial times for the lovely couple . Jahangir is a big spender and likes to live the good life . Since the couple has some relaxation , it's time for the second 4 minute-interlude/song of the film ! Once again , distorted female vocals , crazy sexy dance and various settings , complete the video-clip-ic love !
Back to our story now . The old dude talks with an armed man . Who knows what they are talking about ? Shahid comes along and everyone exchanges akward glances . Shahid shoots dead the man talking with the old dude ! Next : The funeral . Jahangir makes a scene . He knows something . Holy shit ! Shahid killed Gourdjief's son ! Shit is about to go down now ... Jahangir goes to Shahid's and shoots his kalasnikof on air . It is personal . The whimpy , almost girly brother of Shahid , returns from school (he carries a notebook) . Jahangir shoots him in front of his mother . He kinda dies in a '30s theatrical way , spinning around a couple of times . Everyone pauses and looks at the agonizing dead of the innocent youngster . Or not ? After four bullets , he still lives ! And is taken to a hospital (not an open road one this time) . The mother cries , as thunder crashes the senses from above ... Shahid swears bloody vengeance , spiting curses inside the hospital ! He runs out , with murder in his mind ! In full black-ops mode , he enters the headquarters of the Gourdjief gang and starts shooting at everyone on sight ! The menace in Shahid's look is undescribable ! He even holds his kalasnikof like a spear when he kills ! Body count : 7 ... That is , until the entire police force of Pakistan comes in and arrests him ! Back home , father slaps mother . Women should know their place damn it ! One boy turned up a bookworm whimp and the other into a kalasnikof maniac vigilante ! She should be more careful raising them ! The police Captain talks with Jahangir . Later , Jahangir decides to go out with his friends and have some fun ! In a men's night club , after the chubby chick sings and dances in front of him , he throws a brick of money to the orchestra and leaves the place , being larger than life and drunk as a skunk ! There's also an r'n'b moment , when Jehangir and the singer walk under a rain of thrown money !
The trial of Shahid takes place . Shahid once again is being theatrical with his tragical body movements and says nothing as he hides his tormented face behind his open hand . Mother cries her eyes out at home . Shahid is behind the readymade bars of a hypothetical prison . He talks with his sweetheart ... She runs away crying . Things are desperate . But nope . It's time for another up-tempo song ! No prison is going to hold us down ! When the song ends , Shahid is seen taken in the gallows . Now that is the ultimate turn off ! It's a nightmare ! Shahid's girlfriend wakes up screaming (and we see her doing so , 4 times in a row) ! She goes to Jahangir and tells him something that makes him sweat . What could that be ? In the next scene , the two girlfriends (Shahid's and Jahangir's) have an intense conversation . And start singing at each other ... Time for another vocoder song folks ! They don't seem that sad when they shake their booty though ...
Right ! Back to misery now . Shahid's parents are down , but when Shahid returns (?) home , everyone bursts into tears of joy ! Jahangir's girlfriend enters the scene and tells him something that makes him hear (and see) thunders ! Shahid runs to his girlfriend and after another theatrical monologue , he leaves her crying ! Jahangir has words with his girlfriend too . He leaves her as well , having said the last word . We now get to enjoy more songs from other artists of SHALIMAR , who have nothing to do with the movie . Hey , we promote our own whenever and wherever we can , right ?! Two sitting dudes sing , reading the lyrics from a notebook , as a hot chick dances in front of them . Skyscraper fake moving background completes the clip . Returning to our feature , MORE singing and dancing from Jahangir's girlfriend ! She tries to throw him on bed , but he pretends he doesn't want to ! She's almost ready to kiss his feet too , but he remains adamant ! What a man ! The song ends , they fall in bed , but afterwards the girlfriend is still in tears as Jahangir is fully dressed and ready to go !
Treachery and villainy combined next , as Muhammad is seen shooting at Shahid's brother once again ! The madman laughs as he watches the whimpy teenager running for his life (accompanied by another hot chick) ! A crazed Gourdjief shoots at them as well ! Where to run to !? They are surrounded ! They are gunned down ...
The following day , during the double funeral , a screaming Shahid (being beatten from fate one time too many) , picks up his kalasnikof once again and goes after the villains in dangerous slow motion ! They brought this on themselves ! His father and his girlfriend barely stop him . They all fall down crying for this injustice ! Fully armed he goes after them anyway ! First Muhammad ! There's no escape from Shahid's lethal justice ! Muhammad falls dead and moaning in slow motion as Shahid walks away . Time for a song now , don't you think ? Shahid's girlfriend shakes her booty . It's cleancing man ! So much death around , let's dance like there's no tommorow !
We are in the final climatic moments of the movie now ! Jahangir forces Shahid's father to leave his car , after some cool road explosions ! He shoots him down ... The circle of violence never ends , as Goudjief is next ! Shahid finishes the job with 5 bullets , the last one on the forehead . The action brings Jahangir in Shahid's girlfriend's place . As he's about to shoot her , his own girlfriend comes from the back and puts a gun to his head ! WTF !? Jahangir is not afraid though , and simply slaps her away ! He even shoots her down ! Not only that , but he shoots down that John Saxon-lookalike , 'cause he cautioned him not go around shooting down womenfolk ! The guy is out of control ! The whole scene derails onto hillarity , since Jahangir shoots yet another guy , who tells him not go around shooting down members of his own gang (maybe the guys with the cameras and the director are next ?) ! Shahid's girfriend found a chance and escaped from the trigger-happy maniac ! Damn that bulder in the middle of the empty street that made her fall down !!!!!! As Jahangir is ready to go for the kill , Shahid enters the scene , saving his love ! It's FACE OFF time ! But first some meaningful close ups as the two rivals speak their closing lines ! Both men start shooting at each other ... They take at least 15 bullets each at close range ! Jahangir dies first . Shahid is still standing , but he acts like he's drunk . His mother and girlfriend run to him . His girlfriend takes his gun and shoots it on air . They all laugh , as the movie ends with the gunshots from the scene of an earlier videoclip (the one where Shahid is standing in front of his jeep and his girlfriend is dancing on its roof) !
Still still think western actioners are tough ?
